What is wrdz?
wrdz is a free, zero-advertising children's dictionary designed to make learning new words fun, engaging, and accessible.
Traditional dictionaries can be boring: You look up a word like “accessory” and get a definition like “a thing which can be added to something else in order to make it more useful, versatile, or attractive.” That doesn't really tell you how the word is typically used.
wrdz is different. The definitions aren't five words: they're a few paragraphs, and help kids understand the word, its connotations, and how the word is used in context. And if you see a word you don't understand in the definition itself, almost every word you see can be clicked to see its own definition.
Finally, wrdz also has a topic directory covering over 5,000 words, offering a thematic way of exploring new words instead of just the traditional alphabetical order.
