accomplishment
Something you worked hard to do and succeeded at.
An accomplishment is something meaningful you've achieved through effort, skill, or determination. When you finish a challenging book, master a difficult piano piece, or build something that actually works, that's an accomplishment. It means succeeding at something that required real work from you, where you had to push yourself beyond simple routine tasks.
The word carries a sense of pride and satisfaction. Learning to ride a bike is an accomplishment because it takes practice, courage, and probably a few scraped knees. Memorizing all the state capitals is an accomplishment because it requires dedicated study. Organizing a successful fundraiser for your school is an accomplishment because it takes planning, leadership, and follow-through.
Small accomplishments matter too. Your first time making pancakes without help is an accomplishment. So is reading to a younger sibling every night for a month, or finally beating that level in a game you've been stuck on forever. What makes something an accomplishment isn't its size, but the effort it took and what you learned along the way.
