agreeable
Pleasant and easy to get along with or accept.
Agreeable means pleasant, friendly, and easy to get along with. An agreeable person makes others feel comfortable and doesn't create unnecessary conflict or tension. When your classmate cheerfully goes along with the group's choice of game at recess, they're being agreeable. When a neighbor is always kind and helpful, you might describe them as having an agreeable personality.
The word can also describe things that are pleasing or acceptable. An agreeable temperature is one that feels just right, neither too hot nor too cold. An agreeable solution to a problem is one that everyone can accept, even if it's not their first choice.
Being agreeable doesn't mean never having your own opinions or always saying yes to everything. It means expressing yourself in a way that's considerate and pleasant rather than difficult or hostile. Someone can disagree with you and still be agreeable about it by listening respectfully and staying calm. The opposite would be someone who's disagreeable: argumentative, cranky, or unpleasant to be around.
When people find an idea agreeable, they're willing to accept or support it. In older books, you might see phrases like “agreeable to the plan,” meaning willing to go along with it.
