A centaur is a creature from Greek mythology with the head, arms, and chest of a human but the body and legs of a horse. Imagine if a person and a horse were combined at the waist: that's a centaur.

In ancient Greek stories, centaurs lived in forests and mountains, and they were known for being wild and unpredictable. Most centaurs in these tales were rowdy troublemakers who loved fighting and drinking too much wine. However, a few centaurs stood apart as wise teachers.
