cushy
Very easy, comfortable, and pleasant, with little hard work.
Cushy describes a job, position, or situation that's comfortable, easy, and often pretty sweet to have. When someone lands a cushy job, they might get good pay without having to work especially hard, or maybe they get great benefits and lots of time off. A cushy assignment in class might be one where you get to watch a movie instead of taking a test.
The word carries a hint of envy or mild criticism. If your older brother complains about his difficult summer construction job while your sister has a cushy internship in an air-conditioned office answering phones, he might call her situation cushy with a bit of jealousy in his voice. The word suggests that someone has it easier than others around them.
A cushy situation isn't necessarily unfair or undeserved, but it does mean things are notably comfortable and pleasant. A cushy chair is soft and comfortable. A cushy life might mean having few responsibilities and plenty of free time.
