disguised
Changed so people cannot easily tell who or what you are.
To be disguised means to change your appearance so others won't recognize you or will mistake you for someone else. When you dress up as a superhero for Halloween, you're disguised as that character. Spies disguise themselves to blend in with crowds or sneak into places undetected.
A disguise can be elaborate, like a full costume with a wig and makeup, or simple, like wearing sunglasses and a hat. In stories, characters often disguise themselves to solve mysteries, escape danger, or discover what people say when they think no one important is listening. In The Prince and the Pauper, two boys who look alike switch clothes and accidentally disguise themselves as each other, leading to adventures neither expected.
Something can also be disguised in a figurative sense. When a difficult homework assignment is disguised as a fun game, it looks entertaining but still teaches you something. A blessing in disguise is something that seems bad at first but turns out to be good, like missing a fun party because you're sick, only to discover your friends and family planned a surprise birthday celebration at home instead.
