imperfect
Not perfect; having small mistakes or flaws.
Imperfect means having flaws, mistakes, or limitations, not being completely without errors or problems. When your drawing of a horse doesn't look quite right, when your first attempt at baking cookies turns out a little burnt, or when you miss a few questions on a spelling test, these things are imperfect.
Almost everything in the real world is imperfect. Your favorite book probably has a few typos. Professional athletes miss shots. Even the most beautiful buildings have small cracks or uneven surfaces if you look closely enough. Perfection is an ideal people aim for, but imperfection is the reality we live in.
The word can describe objects, performances, or even people. An imperfect circle isn't quite round. An imperfect performance has some wobbles or mistakes. When we say humans are imperfect, we mean that everyone makes errors, has weaknesses, and keeps learning throughout life.
Sometimes imperfections make things more interesting or authentic. A handmade clay bowl with slightly uneven edges can feel more special than a perfectly manufactured one. Scientists conduct imperfect experiments, learn from what went wrong, and try again. That's how progress happens.
