Intuitive means easy to understand or use without needing instructions or much thought. When something is intuitive, it just makes sense right away, like it matches what you naturally expect.

A well-designed app is intuitive when you can figure out how to use it just by looking at the screen. The buttons are where you'd expect them, the icons clearly show what they do, and everything works the way your brain guesses it should. Compare that to a confusing remote control with dozens of identical buttons: that's the opposite of intuitive.

Intuition is that feeling of knowing something without having to reason it out step by step. When you meet someone and immediately sense they're friendly, that's your intuition at work. An intuitive design takes advantage of these natural human instincts.

In math or science, some concepts feel intuitive because they match patterns you already understand. It's intuitive that heavier objects are harder to push, or that things roll downhill. Other concepts, like why ice floats on water, might seem counterintuitive at first (shouldn't the solid version be heavier?) until you learn the explanation.

When teachers explain something in an intuitive way, they connect new ideas to things you already know, so the learning feels natural rather than forced.
