leader
A person who guides and helps a group reach goals.
A leader is someone who guides, influences, or takes charge of a group working toward a common goal. Leaders make decisions, inspire others, and help people work together effectively. A team captain makes sure everyone knows the game plan and keeps spirits up when things get tough. A student council president listens to classmates' concerns and works to solve problems. A ship's captain navigates safely through storms while keeping the crew focused on their duties.
Leadership isn't about being bossy or always getting your way. Leaders earn respect by showing they care about the group's success. They step up when something needs doing, even when it's difficult or unpopular. During a group project, the leader might be the person who organizes tasks, encourages quieter members to share ideas, and keeps everyone on track, not necessarily the loudest person in the room.
Leaders come in many forms. Some lead by example, working harder than anyone else. Others lead through kindness, making people feel valued and motivated. Some leaders give inspiring speeches, while others lead quietly by solving problems before they become crises.
