limited
Restricted in amount or allowed only up to a point.
Limited means restricted in amount, extent, or scope, like having only so much of something and no more. When a store has a limited supply of a popular toy, they might run out quickly because they don't have enough for everyone who wants one. When your parents give you limited screen time, you can only use your tablet or watch TV for a certain number of hours.
A speed limit tells drivers the maximum speed they can go. Your limitations are things you can't do or don't do well yet. Everyone has limitations: even Olympic athletes can't run infinitely fast or jump infinitely high.
When something is limited, it's confined within boundaries. A limited edition book might have only 1,000 copies printed, making it more valuable because of its scarcity. Time can be limited: you might have a limited amount of time to finish a test. Patience can be limited: a teacher's patience might wear thin if students keep talking during a lesson.
Understanding your limitations isn't about giving up. It's about knowing what you can currently do so you can work on expanding those boundaries through practice and learning.
