lit
Very bright or full of light.
Lit is an adjective that means illuminated or filled with light. A street can be well-lit so you can see where you’re walking, or poorly lit if you can't. A room might be softly lit by a few lamps, or brightly lit with overhead lights. A stage can be lit with spotlights and colored LEDs to make the performers stand out and set the mood.
It’s also the past tense of light, meaning to ignite something or turn on a source of light. You lit a candle, lit the fireplace, or lit a match.
In slang, lit can mean exciting, excellent, or really fun, like “That party was lit,” meaning it had a lot of energy.
