masthead
The information box naming a newspaper or magazine’s staff.
A masthead is the section at the top of a newspaper or magazine that lists the publication's name, staff, and important information like who publishes it and where it's located. If you've ever flipped to the first few pages of a magazine and seen a list of editors, photographers, and designers, you're looking at the masthead.
In journalism, getting your name on the masthead means you're officially part of the publication's staff. A student who works hard on their school newspaper might dream of seeing their name on the masthead as an editor or writer. It's a mark of belonging to something bigger than yourself and contributing to it regularly.
