obtainable
Able to be gotten or reached with real effort.
Obtainable means able to be gotten or achieved. When something is obtainable, you can actually get it if you put in the effort or meet the requirements. A goal is obtainable when it's realistic and within reach, not impossible or out of the question.
If you want to make the basketball team and you practice your skills regularly, that goal is obtainable. If you want to become a professional violinist and you take lessons and practice daily for years, that dream is obtainable. But if you decide on Monday that you want to win the Olympics on Saturday without any training, that's not obtainable.
The word helps us think realistically about what we can accomplish. A video game achievement might be obtainable if you're willing to spend the time figuring out the strategy. A perfect score on a difficult test is obtainable if you study thoroughly. When adults talk about obtainable goals, they mean targets that stretch your abilities but don't require magic.
The opposite is unobtainable, meaning impossible to get.
