packable
Able to be folded small and carried or stored easily.
Packable describes something designed to be easily folded, compressed, or squeezed into a small space for carrying or storing. A packable rain jacket can be stuffed into its own pocket and tossed into a backpack without taking up much room. Packable sleeping bags compress into tight rolls. When you're going on a trip and need to fit everything into one suitcase, you look for packable clothes that won't wrinkle or take up too much space.
The key idea is that something packable doesn't just fit into a bag: it's specifically made to pack down small and light. A winter coat might keep you warm, but a packable winter coat can be squeezed into a pouch about the size of a water bottle. Hikers love packable gear because every ounce matters when you're carrying everything on your back for miles.
The word can also describe how easy something is to transport. A tent might be called highly packable if it folds neatly and weighs very little, or not very packable if it's bulky and awkward no matter how you try to fold it.
