pinkish
Somewhat pink in color, but not completely pink.
Pinkish means having a slight pink color or tint, not fully pink but showing hints of it. A white rose might have pinkish edges where just a touch of pink blends into the white petals. When you've been outside on a cold day, your cheeks might look pinkish from the chill.
The word describes something that's almost pink, sort of pink, or pink-ish: close to pink but not quite there. A sunrise might cast a pinkish glow across the clouds. A stone that's mostly gray might have pinkish streaks running through it. When you mix just a tiny bit of red paint into white, you get a pinkish color rather than a true pink.
You can use this pattern with other colors too: bluish for somewhat blue, greenish for somewhat green, yellowish for somewhat yellow. The -ish ending is a useful way to describe colors that aren't quite one thing or another, but somewhere in between.
