pleasure
A happy, satisfying feeling you get from something you enjoy.
Pleasure is the good feeling you get from something you enjoy. It's that warm satisfaction when you bite into your favorite dessert, the happy tiredness after playing hard with friends, or the cozy contentment of reading a great book on a rainy afternoon.
Pleasure comes in many forms. Some pleasures are quick and intense, like the thrill of going down a water slide. Others are gentler and longer-lasting, like spending a peaceful morning fishing with your grandfather or finishing a challenging puzzle you've been working on for days.
The word can describe both the feeling itself and the source of that feeling. You might say that swimming is one of your pleasures, or that you take pleasure in building things with your hands. When someone says “it's my pleasure” after you thank them, they mean helping you gave them a good feeling, not that it was a burden.
