Regional describes something that relates to a particular region or area, rather than a whole country or the entire world. When something is regional rather than national or international, it means its influence or presence is concentrated in a specific geographic area. This can make regional things feel special and distinctive, like discovering a regional candy you've never heard of when visiting relatives in another state, or learning about regional history that shapes how people in an area live today.
