satisfied
Feeling happy and content because something is enough for you.
To be satisfied means to have enough of something that you no longer want or need more of it. When you finish a good meal and feel satisfied, your hunger is gone and you don't want another bite. When you complete a challenging project and feel satisfied, you've accomplished what you set out to do and can rest content with the result.
Satisfaction comes in different forms. Physical satisfaction might mean a full stomach after dinner or tired muscles after a long bike ride. Emotional satisfaction might come from helping a friend solve a problem or finally understanding a difficult math concept. You can feel satisfied with a grade, satisfied with how you played in a game, or satisfied with the way you handled a tough situation.
The word also describes meeting requirements or standards. If your book report satisfies the teacher's requirements, it includes everything she asked for. If an explanation satisfies your curiosity, it answers your questions completely enough that you're not left wondering.
Being satisfied doesn't mean being perfect or having everything you could possibly want. It means reaching a point where what you have or what you've done feels like enough. A satisfying experience leaves you feeling fulfilled rather than disappointed or still hungry for more.
