saver
A person who keeps money instead of spending it all.
A saver is someone who sets aside money instead of spending all of it right away. When you get birthday money and put half in your piggy bank for something special later, you're being a saver. When your parents put money into a savings account each month, they're savers too.
Savers think about the future. They might save for something specific, like a new bicycle or a family vacation, or they might save without a particular goal in mind, building up money for whatever comes along. Some people are natural savers who feel uncomfortable spending everything they have, while others find saving harder and have to work at it.
The opposite of a saver is a spender, someone who uses their money as soon as they get it. Most people fall somewhere in between: they save some and spend some. Banks encourage savers by paying interest, a small reward for letting the bank hold your money. Whether you're saving allowance money or paychecks from your first job, the habit of being a saver can make a real difference in your life.
