snub-nosed
Having a short, slightly upturned, and flattened nose.
Snub-nosed describes a nose that is short, slightly turned up at the end, and often a bit flattened. If you've seen a pug dog or a Persian cat, you've seen a classic snub nose: their noses don't stick out much at all. Some people naturally have snub noses too, which simply means their noses are shorter and turned up compared to longer, more prominent noses.
You might also hear about snub-nosed monkeys, a group of rare Asian primates with flat, upturned noses. These endangered monkeys live in mountain forests and may sneeze when it rains because water can get into their unusual noses.
“Snub-nosed” can also describe other things that are short and blunt, like certain types of gun barrels or even the front of a vehicle that looks cut off and stubby.
