spacious
Having plenty of room so it doesn’t feel crowded.
Spacious means having plenty of room or space. A spacious classroom has enough room for students to move around comfortably without bumping into desks or each other. A spacious car has legroom for tall passengers and space for everyone's backpacks without squashing anything.
The word suggests an open, uncrammed feeling with room to breathe and move freely. A gymnasium is certainly big, but we call it spacious when it feels open and comfortable. A spacious bedroom might not be enormous, but it has enough space that you don't feel cramped or crowded by furniture.
You'll often hear people describe homes, vehicles, or rooms as spacious when they want to emphasize the comfortable feeling that comes from having adequate space. A spacious kitchen gives a chef room to work without knocking into things. A spacious park provides plenty of area for different groups to play without interfering with each other. The opposite would be cramped or crowded, where everything feels squeezed together and movement feels restricted.
