trove
A collection of valuable or wonderful things found together.
A trove is a collection of valuable or delightful things discovered all at once. When archaeologists uncover a trove of ancient coins buried in a field, they've found a whole cache of treasure together. When you discover a trove of old comic books in your grandparents' attic, you've stumbled upon a wonderful collection you didn't know existed.
Today we use it for any exciting discovery of interesting things. A library might contain a trove of rare first editions. A website could be a trove of useful information about space exploration. A grandmother's recipe box might be a trove of family cooking secrets.
What makes something a trove is the feeling of discovering riches all in one place. Finding one interesting rock is nice, but finding a whole trove of fossils in a riverbed is thrilling. The word captures that sense of stumbling upon hidden wealth, whether it's actual treasure or something precious to the person who finds it.
